The Colors of Indonesia

The Colors of Indonesia is a project aimed to introduce the diversity of the Indonesian national heritages to the world. This project is initiated by us, a group of 29 Indonesian youth who participated in a program called the Ship for South East Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) 2003.

Coming from different parts of Indonesia, in that program we became one big family who worked together as the young ambassadors of Indonesia, representing our country in social and cultural activities in front of the other youth and government of the South-East Asian countries and Japan.

"The Colors of Indonesia" was the theme of our National Day. That day was the opportunity for us to display our cultural properties in a mini-exhibition and in a set of stage perfomance, that turned out to be a great success as it could impress our fellow participating youth and the administrators of the Program. We embrace the memory of that day so fondly until today, and despite of the fact that now we are living in different places again, our spirit to represent Indonesia is in many ways far from fading.

Coming from different provinces in Indonesia, we embrace different cultural backgrounds, yet we also share the strong bonds of being the Indonesians. Realizing the richness of our cultural properties, we know that the National Day is actually happening in our each and every day. There are millions of interesting things about Indonesia that are worth to share to the world.

Here, you will see a collective notes and documentations about Indonesia. Taken from our daily life, this is our humble effort to preserve our cultural properties, and to introduce to you the rich hues and spectrums of the Colors of Indonesia.
